Your experience begins with a 4-day jungle adventure from Iquitos, deep within the protected Tahuayo River Reserve—one of the most biodiverse regions in the Peruvian Amazon. Traveling by river through pristine rainforest landscapes, you will explore hidden trails, encounter extraordinary wildlife, and connect with local communities while staying at Selva Wild Lodge, surrounded by untouched nature.
From the depths of the selva, your journey continues to Cusco, the historic heart of the Inca civilization. Over the next four days, you will discover ancient ruins, vibrant markets, and breathtaking Andean landscapes, while experiencing the traditions and living culture that make this region so unique.

Amazon Jungle & Cuzco Sacred Valley Itinerary
Day 1
• Arrival at Iquitos airport and transfer to the hotel.
• Accomodation at the hotel in Iquitos.
• Welcome meeting at the hotel with an introduction to the upcoming journey.Day 2
• 7:30 am – Departure by car from Iquitos to the town of Nauta (about 2 hours).
• Motorboat trip from Nauta to the village of Halder on the Yarapa River (about 3 hours).
• Breakfast served on board while enjoying the rainforest scenery.
• 30-minute walk to the community of Jerusalem, the last settlement along the Tahuayo River.
• Tour through the village to learn about its culture and traditions.
• Motorboat ride to Selva Wild Lodge (about 20 minutes).
• Welcome reception and accommodation at the lodge, surrounded by the Amazon rainforest.
• Lunch at the lodge.
• Boat excursion (about 30 minutes) to visit the majestic Lupuna tree, the largest tree in the Amazon rainforest.
• Return to the lodge to rest and relax.
• Dinner at the lodge.
• Brief talk with the guide about the next day’s activities.
• Night jungle exploration to discover the rainforest after dark.
• Overnight in comfortable lodge rooms.Day 3 - Day 4 - Into the Wild Selva
• Early breakfast at the lodge.
• Motorboat trip (about 2.5 hours) to a remote location deep in the rainforest to set up camp.
• Arrival and preparation of the jungle campsite.
• Lunch at the campsite surrounded by nature.
• One-hour boat trip to Yarina Lagoon, an area rich in wildlife.
• Observation of herons and the unique tropical bird Hoatzin.
• Guided walk through primary rainforest in search of monkeys and other wildlife.
• Night exploration to observe black caimans and other nocturnal species.
• Dinner at the campsite surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.
• On the first night enjoy overnight camping in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
• Piranha fishing experience.
• Guided jungle walk to discover medicinal plants and learn about their traditional uses with our with our lead healer & shaman.
• Overnight at the lodge.Day 5
• Breakfast at the lodge.
• Walk to the village of Halder and motorboat trip back to the town of Nauta.
• Transfer by car to the city of Iquitos.
• Estimated arrival in Iquitos: 6:00 pm.Day 6

• Transfer to Iquitos Airport for your flight to Cuzco (via Lima).
• Accomodation in Cuzco hotel.
• Visit to the ancient ruins of Sacsayhuamán (if time permits).
• Dinner at the hotel.Day 7 - Day 8 - Inca Hearland
• Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.
• Bilingual tour guide (English and Spanish).
• Private transportation from Cusco to the Sacred Valley for guided visit and lunch.
• Sacred Valley tour – Places to visit: Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Salineras, lunch in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo.
