Your journey begins with a scenic transfer from Iquitos to the riverside town of Nauta, followed by a boat expedition through remote rivers and pristine rainforest landscapes. Along the way you will visit traditional Amazonian communities, explore hidden jungle trails, and observe incredible wildlife in its natural habitat.
During your stay at Selva Wild Lodge, you will enjoy comfortable accommodation surrounded by untouched rainforest. Guided by experienced local naturalists, you will learn about medicinal plants, spot exotic birds, fish for piranhas, and explore the jungle both during the day and at night.

Amazon Jungle Itinerary
Day 1
• 7:30 am – Transfer by car from Iquitos to the town of Nauta (approximately 2 hours).
• Motorboat trip from Nauta to the village of Halder on the Yarapa River (about 3 hours).
• Breakfast served on board while enjoying the Amazon scenery.
• 30-minute walk to the community of Jerusalem, the last settlement along the Tahuayo River.
• Visit and short tour through the village.
• Motorboat ride to Selva Wild Lodge (about 20 minutes).
• Welcome reception and accommodation at the lodge.
• Lunch at the lodge.
• Guided jungle walk to discover medicinal plants and learn about their traditional uses in the Amazon.
• Return to the lodge.
• Dinner at the lodge.
• Brief talk with the guide explaining the activities planned for the next day.
• Night exploration in the rainforest to observe nocturnal wildlife.
• Overnight in comfortable lodge rooms.Day 2
• Breakfast in the dining area.
• Piranha fishing experience in the nearby rivers.
• Birdwatching excursion to observe different Amazon bird species.
• Boat excursion (about 30 minutes) to visit the Lupuna tree, one of the largest and most impressive trees in the Amazon rainforest.
• Return to the lodge.

• Motorboat excursion (about 40 minutes) in search of wildlife along the riverbanks.

• Night jungle exploration to discover the Amazon after dark.

• Boat excursion to observe the nocturnal monkey locally known as “Musmuqui.”
• Return to the lodge.

• Boat ride to the village of Jerusalem.

• Motorboat trip back to the town of Nauta (about 3 hours).
• Transfer by car from Nauta back to Iquitos (about 2 hours).
