Terms and Conditions
Reservations & Payments
- Confirmation Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total booking value is required to confirm and secure all reservations.
- Final Balance: Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due upon arrival at the lodge (or at the designated meeting point in Iquitos before departure).
- Last-Minute Bookings: For reservations made within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Payment Methods: We accept international bank transfers. Please note that guests are responsible for all intermediary bank fees and transfer costs. Rates are quoted in USD.
Strict Cancellation & Credit Policy
To maintain our commitment to local staff and conservation efforts, we operate under a strict cancellation policy:
- 60+ Days Before Arrival: Cancellations are eligible for a full refund, minus any applicable bank or processing fees.
- Within 60 Days of Arrival: No cash refunds will be issued. However, the total amount paid will be converted into a Travel Credit.
- Validity: This credit is valid for two (2) years from the original arrival date.
- Terms: Credits are non-transferable, subject to availability, and may be subject to seasonal rate differences at the time of rebooking.
- No-Shows: Failure to arrive on the scheduled date without prior notice results in a forfeiture of the total booking value.
Logistical Coordination
- Transfers: Due to our remote location, check-in and check-out times are strictly coordinated with river transfer schedules.
- Arrival Points: Guests must adhere to the lodge-arranged transfer timings from Iquitos or designated meeting points to ensure safe passage through the river systems.
- Expedition & Adventure Activities
Selva Wild Lodge offers immersive experiences within the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Reserve.
- Assumption of Risk: Participation in all jungle excursions (including trekking, canoeing, and wildlife observation) is voluntary and at the guest’s own risk.
- Safety Protocols: Guests must follow the directives of our licensed guides at all times. The lodge is not liable for incidents resulting from a failure to follow safety instructions.
- Health Disclosure: Guests are required to disclose any medical conditions, severe allergies, or physical limitations prior to arrival.
Stewardship & Liability
- Environmental Ethics: As a guest in a protected conservation area, you are expected to respect all wildlife and habitats. Hunting, feeding animals, or the removal of flora is strictly prohibited.
- Travel Insurance: Given our remote Amazonian location, we strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical evacuation and trip interruption.
- Force Majeure: Selva Wild Lodge is not liable for delays, losses, or injuries caused by weather conditions, river level fluctuations, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Peru.
